Christmas was nice this year. We had a big family dinner at my parent’s house and it was nice to see everyone. Here are some miscellaneous pictures …

Christmas Eve: Waiting at the airport for Christina’s flight from the Philippines. Manila – Tokyo – Detroit – Atlanta – West Palm Beach. I couldn’t imagine. I’d be exhausted. But, she arrived safe and 15 minutes early and her luggage made it, too. Welcome home.

Christmas Day: Vegetable tray w/ ranch dressing dip I made. Looks pretty appetizing, even if I do say so myself.

Day After Christmas: Shopping at Dillard’s. Every year, mom adds additional pieces to her Christmas dish set. And every year, the prices go up. But, always 50% off after Christmas. Starting at 7am, this was our day … Target (PSL), Dunkin Donuts, Kohl’s, Denny’s, Staples, Macy’s, JCPenney, Dillard’s, Sears, Target (Stuart).

Take a look at this picture. The big sign says Clearance: 50% off or more on original prices. Reduced price registers at checkout. And, there are little Clearance signs on the bottom shelf as well. The box of cookie mix I wanted to buy was regularly $6.99 and had a Clearance sticker on it. So, I figured it would be $3.50. Nope, it rang up $5.97. I asked the cashier what calculation Target uses to determine $5.97 is 50% of $6.99. She said the cookie mix isn’t 50% off even though all the signs say 50% off. She said she could call the manager over but I didn’t want to go through all that, so I told her I didn’t want it. But, is it just me or are those signs misleading?
