I Grocery Gamed at CVS yesterday.

• ×2 Cottonelle Toilet Paper 12 pack
• ×2 Band-Aid 20 count & 30 count
• Clearasil Face Wash
• ×2 Softscrub
• Gain Laundry Detergent

Subtotal = $51.02
- CVS Sale Savings : $19.08
- Manufacturer Coupon Savings : $6.50
- Prior ExtraBucks : $7.49 (doesn’t count towards net total)
Out of Pocket Total = $17.95
- Earned ExtraBucks (for future use) : $9.49
Net Total = $15.95… Savings of 69%

We also went to Target and I took advantage of a sale they had on Band-Aids and Neosporin along with a free first-aid bag I plan to keep in the car.

Target had quite a bit of stuff on clearance that I was able to combine with coupons I had.

I got 4 packages of Johnson & Johnson gauze that was on clearance for $1.08 for 8¢ each after four $1 coupons.

I got a free bottle of Cascade Dishwasher Rinse w/ coupon and a free bottle of Windex after mail-in rebate.

Tina & I went Grocery Gaming last night.

First, we went to CVS.

• ×2 Biore Strips 14 count
• ×2 Bounty Basic 8 rolls
• ×2 Charmin Toilet Paper 9 rolls
• ×2 Dawn Dish Soap
• Crest Toothpaste 2 pack

Subtotal = $60.31
- CVS Sale Savings : $19.39
- CVS Coupon Savings : $3
- Manufacturer Coupon Savings : $7
- Prior ExtraBucks : $5.00 (doesn’t count towards net total)
Out of Pocket Total = $25.92
- Earned ExtraBucks (for future use) : $5
Net Total = $25.92… Savings of 65%

And, at Publix we did good also. Our subtotal was $83.28 but after $5.26 in store coupons, $10.75 in manufacturer’s coupons and $37.11 in advertised special savings, our net total was $30.16 … savings of 63%.

I GG’ed tonight at WinnDixie after work. Then, we got notice that the crib mattress we ordered came in, so we picked it up and GG’ed at Publix afterwards. I love it when Christina GGs with me – it makes the GG experience go so much faster. Plus, I have someone to talk to and push the cart for me. Hehehe.

Total : $77.73 … Savings of 55%
This was really good because I bought a lot of meats that were BOGO free.

Publix
Subtotal : $110.34
- Publix sales : $48.60
- Coupons : $16.90
Total : $44.84 … Savings of 59%

So, in summary, I got about $280 worth of groceries for $122.

If you’re not Grocery Gaming, you’re wasting money.

Fans of my blog will know I’m a huge fan of Grocery Gaming at CVS. Combining their sales with the ExtraBucks offers and manufacturer coupons makes every trip to CVS a trip worth taking.

So, needless to say, I was wondering why CVS’s ad sucked so hard this week.

Turns out, I’m living in a CVS test market state. Rumor has it that for the next 6 weeks, devout CVSers in Florida and Michigan will be sorely disappointed at the deals to be had at CVS.

Apparently, CVS seems to think everyone in these two states are going blind. While the rest of the country enjoys a CVS ad full of sales and ExtraBucks offers, those of us in Florida and Michigan will be mistreated to a coloring-book style CVS ad with ginormous pictures and text. This week, a crappy deal on Campbell’s Soup on the front cover and a toilet-paper tower on the back with a whole bunch’a nothin’ in between.

I need to go Publix’ing later tonight or tomorrow night. They have a lot of good sales that I have coupons for.

It took Tina & I about 2 hours yesterday to clip and organize 3 weeks worth of coupons and get rid of the expired coupons. It’s soooo boring, but the savings can be tremendous.

Here’s what I ended up spending …

- Coupon Savings : $41.60
Total : $56.58 … 69% savings
