After spending an hour or so in Paint Shop Pro (Version 6, believe it or not, released in 1999 – how old school! PSP is up to version 12. I just have never felt the need to upgrade.), I have come up with what Christina & I think is a suitable birth announcement. I have ordered a 4×6 and 5×7 from Target and I’ll pick it up tomorrow to see how it looks. If it looks nice, this is what we will send out.
Update : The 4×6 came out great, but the 5×7 looked a little discolored. I don’t know if that’s because there was a problem with Target’s photo printing equipment or a result of the photo being stretched. So, we ordered 100 4×6 announcements. We saved quite a bit of money, too. For the announcements and the envelopes, we probably spent about $30. Had we ordered them from the professional printing service, it would have cost $179. Sorry, but that extra $149 will buy lots and lots of diapers. Who the heck can afford to spend that much on birth announcements anyway? Sheez.
