We had fun in Orlando this weekend. We drove up Friday evening and came home Sunday afternoon. This is what we did …

  • Fri., Feb. 29
    • Drove up to Orlando on the Florida Turnpike. Left at 7pm. Stopped half way at a rest stop. Arrived around 9:30pm.
    • Had dinner at IHOP.
  • Sat., Mar. 1
    • Woke up around 5:30am. Couldn’t fall back to sleep. Had breakfast at the hotel.
    • Went to the HSN Outlet. It kinda sucked. They sell a lot of open box merchandise that customers have returned. So, who knows if the stuff even works. And, it seemed to be in a pretty rough part of the neighborhood.
    • Stopped at Dunkin Donuts.
    • Went to Ikea. Bought some hangers and kitchen towels. Mom bought a picture frame. Ida got tired and spent most of the time sitting on a bench outside.
    • Had lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. It was so crowded. The food is okay, but you feel like you’re eating in a hospital cafeteria.
    • Went to the Prime Outlets. A lot of Europeans there taking advantage of the weak dollar.
    • Came back to the hotel and took a nap.
    • Had dinner at Carrabba’s. It was excellent. Tina’s cousins met us there.
    • Stopped at the DoubleTree hotel and bought 2 tins of their cookies. Yummmmmm…
    • Went in the hot tub at the hotel. Went to bed around 11pm.
  • Sun., Mar. 2.
    • Had breakfast at the hotel.
    • Stopped at Chevron and got gas. Also put air in the front passenger tire. I think it has a slow leak, but I am due for new tires anyway.
    • Went back to the Prime Outlets and hit some more stores.
    • Went to the Designer Center Outlets. That is another outlet mall by the same company about a mile away from the Prime Outlets.
    • Left Orlando around 1pm. Stopped half way at a rest stop. Arrived home around 3:30pm. Ida slept most of the way home.
    • Stopped at Jersey Mike’s Subs for lunch after we got off the Turnpike. It sucked. Not recommended. They have no idea how to make a hoagie. They should be ashamed to have the word Jersey in their name. They’re not Jersey subs. They’re subs made by morons. Call the place Mike’s Morons. That would be more appropriate.

Did you ask if they were from Jersey. If they said yes, you should of been like “really? can’t tell with your crap ass hoagies”
